Have you ever watched a late-night horror movie, only to need a great comedy to shake off the willies right after?
Scientifically speaking, you intuitively found a natural way to raise your vibration from one of fear and dread to one of laughter and love!
Today I feel the need to write a Perfectly Positive Post to follow one I published yesterday that dealt with a negative issue. (Not to mention the fact that my writing about that subject yesterday drew a peculiar experience into my reality…hmmmm)
If you took two minutes to watch this funny video yesterday , then you’ll understand me when I say that I accidentally put some Tobasco into my pie! Yucky!
Just Imagyne the following “I AM” affirmations for pre-planning the perfect day… (as you’ll see, I LOVE the ABC’s)

Zen! (The Fine Art of Doing the Right Thing at the Right Time and Being Present to that Now!)
Now if you’ll excuse me, I need to go “Govern” (control) my own “Ment” (mind) by practicing some Zen-O-Tonic Now Time!
“Ment Govern”

Mind control.
Aren’t you just sick and tired of others doing your job? Yes, it’s your job to control your own mind, by thinking for yourself. (the cynic in me would say to hurry up and think for yourself before it’s illegal.)
Did you know the word government literally means “mind control?” (Govern- control and ment- mind). It’s no secret that the most sure-fire way to control any person, group, or society is through fear. But don’t we all know fear fuels more fear, or even worse… it helps to create very real, physical manifestations in an unwanted reality.
I recently caused a healthy dose of “agreeing to disagree” on my FB wall by posting the picture above with statistics about the relativity of risks we face daily. If I had it to do all over again, I would’ve edited it to read “Healthcare” instead of “Obamacare.” The point I was trying to make was that the media does a bang-up job of sensationalizing any and all negative occurances in society until we find ourselves trembling at the very thought of this happening in our “backyard.” I would bet the national debt that the true stats on good vs evil in this nation, world, universe goes something like this… 99% Good vs 1% Evil. The Media just “corners the market” on their shining ability to blow that all out of proportion.
In fact, “some” would even go so far as to say that the “ment govern” folks would perpetrate such heinous acts as a means to an end. How convenient that these “ment govern” people would strike such fear in the majority of the population that we “the free” (otherwise, extremely rational and intelligent people) would beg for our liberties to be taken away. Years ago, I watched a few videos regarding the “crazy” conspiracy theories of the possibilies behind major national and world events and it caused me to “Rasa” my “Tabula!”
In other words, I questioned everything and came to the conclusion that it might be time to erase everything I ever thought I knew and start completely over. Since I subscribe to the Micro/Macro thinking I allowed myself to believe that if an indiviual could committ a heinous crime, then a whole government or agency could clearly be guilty of the same. Yep, I’m a believer in a long history of False Flag operation operations all over the world, perpetrated by all countries, at one time or another.
Well, two beautiful, intelligent and caring friends started going back and forth about the accuracy of the statistics.

I have so much to say about the recent events in Connecticut- I could speak to this issue until Infinity!
My 6-year-old son, Ben wrote this note the day before he died. I was a school teacher where he attended school and he usually hung out in my room at the end of the day. On this day, he rushed in to find my room empty (I was in another teacher’s classroom), but chose to leave the sweet note before heading off to find his dad in the carpool line. I found the note and tucked it away in my organizer.
Flash forward to a few days later after the car accident that would change my life forever. Surrounded by family and friends, I reached for something out of my organizer and the note jumped out at me!
I share this personal story (purposely leaving out a zillion details), to make my point that events such as this, however painful, and unfathomable, are RANDOM!
In the same way, the events in Connecticut are too! RANDOM! A favorite author of mine posted on her FB page that it “seems that the world is crazy- with recent events in Norway, China, Colorado… etc..” Let’s educate ourselves and get about 7 billion things straight… Considering the world’s population, the acts of violence (tragedy in any form) are RANDOM and the acts of Kindness and Love are RAMPANT, occurring every second!
In the world of Competitive Media you won’t hear about those “boring” happy stories because the media can’t muster up enough creativity to monetize Good News!
I dare say that guns, knives, poison, etc…. don’t kill people. Thoughts kill people. Yes, I said it. Plain and simple. The very anxiety, fear and hate that’s being splashed and smeared across my FB newstream is from the same ocean the killer bathed in for years. It’s like the “frog in boiling water” analogy.
Remember, if you throw a frog in boiling water he jumps out immediately, but if you place him in warm water and slowly turn up the heat, he’ll acclimate to the higher temp and won’t even know what killed him!
Is our society acclimatizing to a climate of fear, letting things go unchecked? Are we raising our children to believe in a “culture of death?” Whatever happened to our “culture of LIFE?” It’s there IF we choose to seek it out. Some people have to SEE it to believe it. Others, have learned that Believing is Seeing! Doesn’t Jesus say, “Blessed are they who believe who’ve not yet seen?” As we pray for those mourning, can we refrain from seeing them as they are- “weeping and mourning in this valley of death?” OR, even better, can we just use our imaginations to SEE them on the other side of this- smiling, laughing, living, LOVING and letting go, while bathed in an Infinite Peace that surpasses all human understanding. Can we even send Light & Love to the gunman and his family?
Most of all, should we shield our children from ALL the nitty-gritty details? I mean really now, where do you stop if you make it your goal in life to warn your children of all the horrible “What If’s”. What kind of life might the gunman have experienced if he’d been raised with all the wonderful “What If’s” scenarios.
Maybe that’s why God gave us a remote control. Go straight to the happy channel that will lift you up, instead of stopping at all the others to whine about what’s wrong- this is a skill I’m still trying to perfect. I refuse to believe that we live in an “Evil World”, growing darker by the hour. God gave us FREE WILL to choose our thoughts and this could be a great opportunity to look around and list all the wonderful aspects of this world.
So, my question is this- Can we simultaneously spend a few moments sending Love and Light to ALL involved while letting go of the fear and anxiety surrounding the tragedy? In these days leading up to December 21, 2012, remember that our intentions and thoughts are magnified. This can be the “best of times”, or the “worst of times” but the Creator gave us the free will to choose. Most of all, what will you say to your children? Here’s what I say, “Yes, these things do happen… but they are extremely______________?” My girls fill in the blank with a resounding- “Rare!”
Now let’s all go talk about the infinitely wonderful things happening in this world today and make it our intentions to experience JOY!
My Daddy was an incredible human being! He left this planet eight years ago, but I think of him constantly, especially around the Thanksgiving Holidays. He was very Will Rogers-esque in that he never met a man (or person) that he didn’t like. In fact, his idea of family was always, “The more, the merrier!” (This helps explain why we have a beloved, “informally adopted” brother in our clan.)
I’m intrigued by this most popular holiday, the one where we attempt to gather with close family and friends to confess and count our blessings. So I set out on a personal quest to discover how Some People choose to celebrate this Family Holiday. Well, after many hours on the road and too many interviews to count, this is what I’ve come to know…
I know Some People who gather everyone in, Family and Friends, no restrictions apply
.
And- I know Some People who invite only the “Happily Married” Family and Friends. (Really, this is what I was told in one interview. They even quoted statistics that help them carve out the guest list… “50% of all marriages end in divorce…”)
I know Some People who welcome relatives (cousins) of ALL ages.
And- I know Some People who invite only those with children whose ages match up perfectly. (One person implied that this makes playtime much easier.)
I know Some People who call for Potluck, once the main Tom Turkey course has been established.
And- I know Some People who invite only the people who know the menu “routine.” (I think this is supposed to prevent any sort of food drama?)
Now, I find the results of these interviews rather disturbing… as in the very ideas disturb my peace of mind. I told my husband that I couldn’t understand how Some People could be this way. He promptly replied, “You don’t need to understand them. You just need to look away.” My children couldn’t imagine these choices, these traditions either. They actually cried at the very thought… real tears. Sensitive little humans that they are.
So, I guess I’ll sum up my findings by saying that-
I know Some People who say-
That just knowing Some People doesn’t make them Family.
Some People believe that Families are made up of people (blood and/or water) who want to be around you- at your house, their house, a party, even for the holidays. (or so I gathered in my interviews.)
As one participant put it, “Yes, of course blood is thicker than water, but when the blood turns to scabs, scabs turn to scars and scars turn to chronic negative thoughts… It’s time to turn to new skin, or possibly just New Kin.
Just Imagyne a world where more people could be like my dear old dad…
OR better yet-
Just Imagyne a world where we only devote our time and energy to those people who really enjoy our company.
What do you think?

Let me be the first to say- I’m just not hungry for “The Hunger Games.”
What’s more shocking? That Hollywood producers would spend millions on a movie about a postapocalyptic world where children fight to the death in “The Hunger Games” OR that our culture would be so jaded as to seek the entertainment value in such a show? With GREAT ANTICIPATION… I might add.
We know that some things are better left unsaid, but aren’t some things better left UNSEEN? Do I really need to see a play-by-play, minute-by-minute What If account of this New World born from the mind of Suzanne Collins?
At first, I thought- “How can regular You & Me people settle for this, much less camp out overnight to buy tickets.” And then it hit me like a lead balloon… a hot air balloon to be exact.
We are programmed from our earliest years to give all Glory and Honor to violence and catastrophic imaginings. (movies, video games, 24-hour news channels that repeat the same stories an average of 100 times each half-hour). Our subconscious minds are like sponges, soaking it all in over the years.
So, to blame my dear friend (who is beautiful and lovely in every way) for saying, “It’s just for the entertainment value…” Well, that would be like blaming the calculator for telling me that 2+3=5 or the computer software for performing a certain way. It’s all about the programming! So, here are two words, just in time… WAKE UP!
What are we, CRAZY? Or just LAZY? Too lazy to monitor our thoughts or think for ourselves.
The pen is mightier than the sword! And even mightier than the pen is your Mind! So, how will you choose to use Your Mind today? Your “I AM” energy? As for me, I’ll try to Choose a Happier Thought If It’s the LAUGH Thing I Do. Why? Because I just happen to be an Imagyneer in training.
Now how in the world would I ever be able to Choose a Happier Thought while sitting next to my nine and eleven year old daughters as we share the special Big Screen moment of two children fighting to the death for sport in the Olympic-Like arena during the Hunger Games?
The buttered popcorn and Butterfingers would help, but overall it would leave a bad taste in my mouth that no miracle toothpaste could ever undo. You’d just have to bring out the Men In Black memory-erasing laser gadget to beep me on the way out.
I won’t go so far as to call for a boycott of this movie, because that would be Me trying to program You and your mind. However, I will make one final plea-
Just Imagyne a better world. Kinda hard to do while sitting in Some Movie Theaters?
Divinely Designed to Love!

So many times when discussing hurt feelings with my children I’ll tell them, “Say what you mean, mean what you say, but don’t be mean.” (my 11-year-old has her own version that goes like this, “Say what you mean, mean what you say, but don’t get crazy!” Clearly this apple hasn’t fallen too far from the tree.)
Since I preach Positivity daily in our homeschooling household (so much that they are begging to be put back into regular school) I decided to reword the statement above to remove the negative wording. Here goes:
“Say what you Love, Love what you say, and just be Love.” This one just tastes better rolling off the tongue.
Besides, we were Divinely Designed to Love. Check out how this Heart just jumps out from the atom, the building blocks at the core of everything in the Universe!

Why? Why? Why?

Why is it so easy to keep my house clean, neat and organized? Well, it’s not! So I play a little game cleverly named the “Why?” game. When I see things in my Life that I’d like to change, I just state it in the form of a “Why?” question and then I sit back and wait for God to give me all the answers.
Used to do it all the time before I even knew the power of my thoughts and words.
*Why is that person such an idiot? Presto! God would answer me with a long list of reasons.
*Why does my team always lose? ditto. long list of fumbles, mistakes, etc…
*Why does that FB friend drop the “F” bomb so much… here comes the avalanche…
So here’s my list of positive “Why’s”? for today.
1. Why is it so easy to practice what I preach?
2. Why is my family so wonderful in every way?
3. Why is this planet getting better and better with age?
4. Why is it so easy to LOVE others… all others?
5. Why is Homeschooling so exciting and easy and fulfilling- all the time?
6. Why do I always know when to stop talking? and then actually stop?
7. Why do I have more than enough time in my day to do everything I need and want to do?
8. Why are there so many wonderful surprises greeting me around every corner today?
9. Why do I have such an abiding attitude of gratitude?
10. Why am I so infinitely blessed?
Why are you even reading this? Bet you’re infinitely blessed too! Don’t feel it? Just ask. Sit back. Wait. Careful not to trip over the answers.
What is This World Coming To?

Everywhere I look I see Joy!!! Correction! Everywhere I look I seek Joy! It’s all around me!
All over the internet.
All over the world!!
Turned on the TV last night and there it was on every channel…
“Three-year-old saves teenage brother from tripping over his own ‘pants falling down’ jeans!” …click… “Man hangs upside down for three hours from bridge until drowning woman stops texting long enough to reach his outstretched hand!”…click…homeless man returns wallet with seven maxed out credit cards and 10K in cash!”
Channel after channel, only wonderful, uplifting, “raise your vibration” kind of news. How can that be?
Just what is this world coming to?? … maybe the proverbial Fork in the Road where it’s time to choose between Right (happy news) and Left (inconsequential news… i.e. which female celebrity has the most cellulite per square inch on her right thigh)
Maybe it’s time to let go of all negative thoughts (you know the kind that get nurtured and grow from dwelling on all the nitty-gritty details – for the 100th time today- of someone’s untimely, early death.)
What is this world coming to? It’s Already Here. We’re Already Here… If we just Let Go and Let God… and rise above the chaos

Organic Investing 101

My financial advisor wants to Baker Act me! He thinks I’m a danger to my portfolio! Me? I think I’m just ready for some Organic Investing.
What is Organic Investing? Well, it’s the exact opposite of investing in obscure Mutual Funds. You know the ones with anywhere from 30-100 different companies in the mix. Do you know who’s Green and who’s not? Who hires 5 year old factory workers and who’s marketing cigarettes to kids?
….Beep, beep, beep. We interrupt this blog to bring you an open can of worms… I just researched one fund I once owned and look who I’ve been supporting… just to name a few…Monsato, News Corp, Inc., Phillip Morris International!
Back to Organic Investing 101…. I like to compare it to organic gardening where you know your dirt and your dirt knows you. Or mixing up your own salad dressing with 3 identifiable (and pronounceable) ingredients as opposed to the 25 listed on the grocery store bottle. Or shaking up your own homemade icecream in 5-10 minutes with 3 ingredients; half-n-half, sugar (organic honey if you so choose?) and vanilla instead of buying the store brand that just might contain Anti-freeze?
In the past, when my mutual funds “performed” well, I really didn’t quite know who to “high-five?” Well, to be brutally honest, I never even paid much attention to how they were performing. Most of my attention is spent on how my two children are performing… in their 12 extracurricular activities I taxi them to and from (and yes, my Wazoo is hurting as we speak).
So, I called my genius financial advisor-who has always made superb choices with my portfolio re: the Bottom Line- Ricardo (his name has been changed from English to Spanish to protect the “sane”) and told him that I wanted some money from my portfolio to invest in a local business. Well, he did his usual brilliant job of trying to reason with The Unreasonable. And in a flash, the truth behind my excitement came flooding in. It just feels wonderful and exciting to know exactly what you’re investing in…. so, let’s feel our way to a prosperous future, shall we.
1. Are you letting JOY be your intention behind everything you do. Especially investing! (Sorry, but if you’re my friend and you don’t make me laugh, or at least smile… you’re climbing a slippery slope… now if you inadvertantly fall, that could be funny, thereby bumping you back up the rating scale)
2. Are you using Your Six Senses- Can you feel, see, touch, taste or smell it? And, more importantly, do you like what you sense? Check! Five down, one to go-The Sixth Sense (and no, I’m not asking if you can see dead people!) Do you have a wonderful, exciting gut feeling about the investment? (Monsato?, Phillip Morris? – I suddenly feel nauseous as you should too, if you find that your investments go against your heart and soul) Does it resonate with you?
2. Can you High Five the General Manager or the CEO? I can! I know his name, his shoe size, where he lives, his mama’s phone number. I can see the exhiliration on his face as he shares his business plan. I can already see us doing the Prosperity Popping dance (my personal favorite is the Robot!)!!
If you answered “yes” to ALL THREE of the above questions (they are all equally important!) you are already an Organic Investor! Now go enjoy that Homemade Ranch Dressing Ice Cream Sundae while you Grow Your Local Economy!
